Some projects of the farm

Establishment of an "edible forest"

The project for this plot is to create an “agroforest” or “food forest” with different layers:

  • The upper canopy for shade trees (with priority given to introducing species endemic to Guadeloupe).

  • The next layer for banana trees, papaya trees, and other fruit trees.

  • Then comes the cacao tree layer, serving as natural supports for vanilla vines.

  • Finally, the ground layer will be made up of various market garden species.

Installation of beehives in forest plots

The project involves the upcoming installation of apiaries on different forest plots of the farm, in order to enhance the local flora through a 100% Guadeloupean quality honey.
This initiative will help increase the number of pollinators, particularly in areas bordering the tropical forest, while also diversifying our agricultural activities.

Development of our vanilla plantations

Regarding the vanilla plantations, the long-term goal is to achieve uniformity across the different agroforestry plots. Whether in terms of genetic diversity or planting density, some plots still require significant propagation work in order to optimise production and offer our clients the finest vanilla beans.
